Popup Dinner & Photo Shooting at The Depanneur – “Une ballade en images”
A few weeks ago, I have had the pleasure to offer 50 customers a popup dinner and be part also of a photo shooting for one of my recipes that is going to be featured in the cookbook of The Depanneur.
The depanneur is a unique venue that celebrates the incredible diversity of culinary talent we have in Toronto by hosting hundreds of pop-up food events.
If you don’t know this unique place in Toronto, I really encourage you to order and enjoy a Pick-Up Dinner on Wednesday or Friday, or a fabulous weekend brunch on Saturday & Sunday.
Len, the owner of The Depanneur, has also launched in Nov 2020 a new project via Kickstarter to create a cookbook showcasing 100 recipes from 100 cooks. The book will feature amazing stories, beautiful photography by Ksenija Hotic, and thoughtful contributions from some of Canada’s foremost figures in food. I am so proud to be part of this amazing adventure!
For this popup dinner beginning of April, my menu was:
· Lyonnaise Warm Cabbage Salad
· Saison, Black Garlic & Parmesan Chicken, served with a delicate rice pilaf flavoured with caramelized shallot-infused apple cider (Vegetarian option - IPA Caramelized Pineapple & Tofu Stir Fry)
· Banana Rum Cake with Beer Caramel and Skyr yogurt
Let me give you a flair of this amazing experience through a selection of pictures:
I hope I have given you the desire to try a popup dinner at The Depanneur in the near future or to order my next popup dinner, or maybe to pre-order The Depanneur cookbook.
Good Food is a social and culinary revolution!
